  RC polypropylene reservoirs cartridges are perfect for all pneumatic volume chamber and waste reservoir applications. RC volume chambers are available in three sizes: 15, 28 and 44 cubic inch capacity. All volume chambers have a working pressure rating to 125 psi, with a burst rating to 500 psi.

Medical and food applications are perfect for RC cartridge volume chambers because of their FDA approved plastic construction. FDA approved plastic mounting brackets are also available.

We also have Desiccant Dryers availabe for all of our reservoir / waste cartridges. Our Desiccant Dryer Cartridges are Silica Gel loaded, a drying agent used when attempting to remove moisture and moisture vapor.

Muffled Expansion Chambers utilize our standard volume chambers and a metallic muffler with plastic housing. All Expansion Chambers come standard with 1/4" NPT and a .125 drain hole. Add $3.65 to the volume chamber base price for the muffled expansion chamber option.

Getting Help from Desiccant Dryers

We also have desiccant dryers available for all of our reservoirs and waste cartridges. Our desiccant dryer cartridges are silica gel loaded, a drying agent used when attempting to remove moisture and moisture vapor. If you've ever bought an electronic device or a pair of shoes, then you might have found a small paper-wrapped package sitting at the bottom of it. More than likely, the package told you that you shouldn't eat the contents!

That's because it contained silica gel, which is the same compound that's in our dryers. It's made of a porous type of silicon dioxide, which consists of a collection of both silicon and oxygen atoms with minuscule pores that are so small you'd need a special scope to view them. Over time, these voids will become full with whatever liquid you're attempting to remove from an area.

In the case of a shoebox, the packet is there to keep humidity away from it. Like the packages normally state, you'd never want to eat this material because it does such an incredibly good job of drying things out it could theoretically do the same internally! However, in the case of manufacturing processes, it can remove water vapor or other types of moisture from a finished product. Ironically, this can make the product itself safer.

Manufacturing concerns that need something a little more sophisticated might also want to look into devices with additional chambers. Since these feature a few extra internal parts, they're even capable of making sure that noise levels are kept down.

Muffled expansion chambers utilize our standard volume chambers and a metallic muffler with plastic housing. All expansion chambers come standard with ¼" NPT and a .125 drain hole. Keep in mind that these are both standard sizes, so you shouldn't have any compatibility problems if you've already been using normal quarter-inch sized equipment. Add $3.65 to the volume chamber base price for the muffled expansion chamber option.

Since these devices can handle upwards of 100° Fahrenheit, you shouldn't have to worry about how hot they get either. Does your company have to deal with a fairly warm manufacturing process? You might be thinking that this gear could never work because your furnace processes and other workflows generate heat far in excess of 100°.

There's no reason that you have to mount an expansion chamber so close to the heat, however. If you install one down the line, then there is often sufficient time for it to cool down before things get down to the chamber. That means the material could drop well below 100° by the time they get there even if it does still feel quite warm.

Should your business have a particular concern about heat, you might consider investing in a cooler. This piece of equipment should completely eliminate concerns about approaching maximum heat levels. It constantly cools the air flowing through a circuit and even dehumidifies it, so you'd have the freedom to use whatever kind of equipment you'd like with your system.
