ZK2 Vacuum Ejectors

Energy Saving Vacuum Generation

Find the vacuum ejectors that you need for your pneumatic machine. Ensure a consistent transport of air and parts that will optimize your systems. Find out which size will fit your machine. Save your air and maintain consistent pressure for your industrial applications.

At SMC Pneumatics, we carry the ZK2 Vacuum Ejectors which are compact. ZK2 is a reliable stock and implements air-saving techniques. This particular series uses ninety percent less air than others do and have fifty percent more suction. While you can get other models in different series, we like the ZK2 the best. Browse our selection to find your type.

Energy Saving Vacuum Generation

The ZK2 Energy Saving Compact Vacuum Ejector is an extremely versatile unit for vacuum generation. It is an “All-In-One” unit that includes the supply valve, release valve, vacuum break flow adjustment needle, suction filter, and silencer. These complex parts allow for the process to proceed and necessitating little maintenance. It can be used at a stand-alone unit or part of a manifold of up to 10 stations. Take advantage of the potential when installing into your system.

The optional digital vacuum pressure switch can be easily copied to up to 10 switches simultaneously. Such an option offers more flexibility when setting your pressure and saves on time when you need to set up for mass production. The ZK2 can also be configured to be used with a vacuum pump system.

How It Works – Air Consumption Reduced

While air is a renewable resource, the more used necessitates a higher strain on your filters to remove unwanted particles. Consider how water vapor, oil droplets, and dirt can cause clogs in your machine. You have to install filters and replace them occasionally to ensure that the clogs and strain are completely reduced. A vacuum ejector helps with air-saving properties so that you can use a smaller amount of air for larger energy output.

Smaller consumption of compressed air also means that you expend less energy in getting the machine to operate. That, in turn, will reduce energy costs and make your operation more efficient. If you are using your pneumatic machines for industrial manufacturing, it’s in your best interest to take such a step.

How It Works – High Flow Capability With 2-Stage Ejector

Venturi ejector is another word for the type of this part. That’s because vacuum ejectors operate on the Venturi principle, which typically applied to fluid velocity. In some cases, similar properties apply to gases such as the ones used in compressed air systems.

You won’t be disappointed with the air-saving qualities of this ejector. Since it lacks the parts of a vacuum pump, it sells for a lower cost and can operate quite easily. In addition, they can be made smaller so as to fit into different machines.

An ejector uses pressure differences to function. Gases are attracted to areas of low pressure because it means that the individual molecules are less crowded. When air goes through the ejector, it accelerates, which creates more pressure as it goes through the nozzle. After it passes through, the airflow slows down. This reduction in speed lowers pressure and repeating the cycle. As a result, you can get a consistent flow depending on the volume of gas molecules for the air.

ZK2 Product Features:

With the energy saving function, air consumption can be reduced by 90%. That will, in turn, help you conserve on an already-renewable source. With the high vacuum flow capability, short adsorption response times are possible. The integrated valve technology also helps with maintaining consistent airflow and pressure.

The compact and lightweight design means that you can install with ease. Such a design also makes the ejectors portable, which is useful when putting them in your machine the first time. Reduced wiring as manifold type means that the ejector can be connected using a D-sub connector or flat ribbon cable.

The suction filter is easy to see and replace so that you don’t have to necessarily get a new one. You can get two types: either the vacuum generation or units for your vacuum pump system. Each one is capable of vacuum pressures of -27 in-Hg. If you prefer more stability, the optional double check valve retains the vacuum for safety

In addition to these features, the three types of manifold options offer reduced wiring for quick installation. Save on the time required when your machine needs a replacement, and incorporate flexible components into your system.

Variety of Applications

We love the vacuum ejector for its versatility. The transport of air is crucial in ensuring that your machine is adequately powered. If you lose that pressure, then you lose the necessary energy. As you can imagine, many industries would rather not take that risk.

Applicable Industries:

The automotive and heavy vehicle manufacturing requires these ejectors for feeder applications. Feeder applications allow for cars to be consistently assembled so that every part fits perfectly.

You can also find the parts in food and beverage processing, where the equipment needs to be completely sterilized so as to ensure consistent quality control. Consider how all of our food products need to pass inspection before they can end up in grocery stores, on Amazon, or even in gas stations. Ejectors are part of the process to maintain consistent airflow for that purpose.

Other industries that use ejectors include forestry and paper products, material handling, packaging, petroleum and chemical extraction, steelmaking, and textiles. You can thank the vacuum principle for the energy you have for your cars and the clothes that you wear. In short, they are ubiquitous and necessary for our way of life. Hence, we recommend using them in your pneumatic machines so that you can wield the benefits.
